The film follows Chinese revolutionary artist and activist Ai Weiwei during his directorial debut of Giacomo Puccini’s, Turandot. The opera, composed 100 years ago, is still as vital and as relevant, and plays many reflections to the life of Ai Weiwei himself. A well-fitting project for an artist, whose art is denouncing authority and champions human rights and freedom of expression.
