Canadian artist William Fisk has a once in a lifetime opportunity: to be represented by a renowned American gallery. His pieces are breathtaking; painting objects from an era when things were made to last. To date, Toronto’s most prominent gallery has represented him, but now one of the world’s top dealers has expressed interest in his work. At this news, his Canadian dealer dropped him. Fisk needs to create a portfolio to show the New York gallery, which will take a year. Fisk has double-mortgaged his home and staked his family’s, wife and two boys, future on this. If the dealer takes him on, his career will reach the desired international level, if not; it is his ruin.
