The 1950s. Behind the Iron Wall art, and patricularly theatre, was favoured by the government as a tool for the propaganda of Communist ideas. This was why “The Burgas experiment” – known as The famous four Theatre – would turn into a phenomenon, dangerous for the ideological health. And it was only the first act of a drama which had just started: the beginning of the slow, but sure destruction of “Socialist realism”.
