(2016), 75 min., USA

Director: Jonathan Keijser
Producer: Juan Capdevila Garcia

The film questions why we create art by looking at the fractured state of the ailing classical music world. Like a symphony, the film’s seven movements bring up distinct ideas yet work towards a cohesive whole. The story unfolds through three in-depth character-driven stories.
Britlin is an aspiring composer, Ben is the conductor of the Boston Philharmonic Youth Orchestra and Dinuk is a cross-genre composer. They are at different points in their lives and bring their unique experiences and voices to the table. These characters, along with a colorful greek chorus of thinkers, reveal not only why they make music but what it stands for beyond the notes on the page.
