Andris Nelsons is one of the world’s most sought-after conductors of our time, a “conductor in the fast lane” – quite apt given his breathtaking career. The 30-minute portrait traces the young Latvian’s steep career, from his musical beginnings in his hometown Riga to the two very prestigious positions he holds today as music director of the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig and the Boston Symphony Orchestra. The film follows him traveling between the two worlds, features him in rehearsals and concerts with his orchestras, makes a stop in Riga, offers exclusive behind-the- scenes insights and rare archival footage.
